  Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Coordinates and direct crews and equipment to complete daily task assignments. Makes adjustments to meet daily goals and maintain quality.
  2. Coordinates delivery of needed materials for project.
  3. Input project data (labor, equipment usage, materials used) into project tracking software (Cartagraph).
  4. Coordinates utility locates with utility locating services.
  5. Coordinates project activities with City personnel.
  6. Trains employees on equipment and construction methods.
  7. Conducts daily safety meetings with Precinct crews and City personnel.

  Minimum Requirements

  NOTE: YOU MUST FILL OUT THE WORK HISTORY and EDUCATION SECTIONS OF APPLICATION TO SHOW YOU HAVE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION AS REQUIRED BY HIRING DEPARTMENT OR BE DISQUALIFIED.

  TO APPLY , must possess an Associate's degree or higher + Three (3) full-time years of related work experience
  OR
  TO APPLY, must have a High School diploma or GED + Five (5) full-time years of related work experience.
  
  TO APPLY, must have a Class "A" CDL. Note: A Texas driver license is required to hold the position.
  
  MUST PROVIDE LICENSING AGENCY AND LICENSE NUMBER IN "CERTIFICATES AND LICENSING" SECTION OF THE APPLICATION OR RISK DISQUALIFICATION.
  
  Note: A tanker endorsement is required within thirty (30) days of hire.
  
  Must have an advanced knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in the field of road construction and maintenance.
  
  Excellent verbal and written communication skills; moderate computer skills; and effective interpersonal and leadership skills.

  If hired, must provide proof of educational attainment
  at New Hire Processing or during the promotional process.

  Tarrant County will conduct background checks on new hires that will include a criminal background check related to convictions and deferred adjudications in the past seven years and may include credit reports, motor vehicle records, employment records and educational attainment. A conviction or deferred adjudication is not an automatic bar to employment. Each case is considered individually.

  Physical Demands and Work Environment & Other Requirements

  While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, lift, push and pull.
