- Independently manage complex organizational and program development projects for the Bond Program Office that support the full scope of project management work required to implement all phases of design and construction of new facilities.
- Provide technical assistance for complex Bond Program elements and processes.
- Make/modify recommendations for optimizing organizational structure and processes.
- Develop schedule presentation materials for the Bond Program
- Work with multiple program liaisons including consultants and outside agencies.
- Manage data gathering.
- Conduct internal technical committee meetings.
- Coordinate program responsibilities that support completing project tasks and milestones.
- Coordinate review and comment processes related to project or program.
- Maintain positive ongoing relationships.
- Promote a pro-equity project environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Have an exceptional record of successfully managing, developing, and/or implementing strategic initiatives, policies, and systems to support project and program delivery.
- Be customer-focused and comfortable advising and partnering with senior and executive level management and key stakeholders regarding initiatives, policies, and issues involved in HBPO organizational development
- Be an excellent people leader and understands how to manage effectively through others.
- Be able to persevere and adapt as required, while working in a multi-faceted and sometimes ambiguous environment.

This role is open to current and former DES employees ONLYKing County’s Facilities Management Division (FMD) is searching for a leader to serve as a Project/Program Manager III for the Harborview Bond Program Office (HBPO) for the division. The Project/Program Manager III will develop and lead planning an organizational development required during implementation of all phases of planning, design, and construction of new facilities on the Harborview Medical Center campus.
This role will be part of the Harborview Bond Program Office. The citizens of King County voted in November 2020 to authorize the issuance of $1.75B of bonds to fund new and renovated projects over 10 years to continue to support the Northwest’s only Level 1 trauma center. This is position provides a special opportunity to support the capital programs at Harborview Medical Center that will improve the standard of care for generations to come. Once fully staffed, HBPO shall be comprise of project professionals across a wide spectrum of disciplines working in conjunction with key stakeholders and the community to shape project delivery goals and outcomes.

Through a workforce of over 300 dedicated employees, the Facilities Management Division (FMD) operates and manages the County's capital assets by developing and maintaining cost-conscious, sustainable, high-quality facilities, and environments. The Building Operations Section of FMD maintains approximately 3 million square feet in facilities where King County provides regional services, including the King County Courthouse and District Courts, Maleng Regional Justice Center, King County Administration Building, King County Animal Shelter, and several Public Health facilities.
