Property Claims Specialist - Catastrophe
$67,630 - $86,567 minimum starting pay
Job Level: Supervisor
Shelter maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Please remember that this range is the starting base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position.
What You Will Be Doing:
Work with the Property Claims & Catastrophe Manager in reviewing, developing, and implementing catastrophe response strategies and procedures. Serve as property subject matter expert for the company and specialize in catastrophe response. Responsible for the direct supervision, training, professional development, and scheduling of desk Catastrophe Response Team adjusters. Assist with organizing Shelter’s catastrophe response, deployment of personnel, training of independent contractors, and utilization of loss adjusting software. Coordinate and administer corporate training for catastrophe claims handling procedures and conduct field training seminars. Serve as an expert witness for property coverages on the Companies' behalf during litigation.
