Blackstone Country Club is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Property Controller to lead the club’s financial planning, accounting operations, and fiscal oversight. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is critical in ensuring financial integrity, operational efficiency, and alignment with club goals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Direct the preparation and management of the annual budget and forecasts for all departments.
• Analyze business volumes and adjust financial plans accordingly.
• Monitor and enforce internal accounting controls to safeguard assets and minimize fraud risk.
• Produce accurate monthly financial statements, variance analyses, and capital expenditure reports.
• Serve as the primary financial liaison to the Finance Committee, working closely with the Committee Chair to prepare agendas, provide financial insights, and support strategic discussions.
• Prepare and present financial reports, performance dashboards, and capital planning updates for Board of Directors meetings and ownership groups.
• Support the General Manager and Board with multi-year capital investment plans and ROI analyses.
• Ensure transparency and clarity in financial reporting to support informed decision-making at both the operational and ownership levels.
• Coordinate with corporate/private equity ownership to meet periodic reporting requirements and ensure alignment with broader financial strategies.
• Support ad hoc analysis and scenario modeling for Board and Finance Committee as needed, especially during budgeting, reforecasting, and capital project evaluation cycles.
• Coordinate and support year-end audits with external auditors.
• Negotiate, review, and monitor vendor contracts to ensure fiscal responsibility.
• Ensure timely compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Implement and maintain policies and procedures that reflect Troon and club standards.
• Recruit, train, develop, and supervise Accounting Department staff.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the finance team.

Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; Bachelor’s degree with extensive experience considered.
• 4–10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably within hospitality or private club environments.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, and cash management principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management/accounting systems.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
