      We are seeking a Property Controller to join our team. In this key role, you will plan, direct and coordinate the facility’s financial, accounting and administrative functions, ensuring smooth operations and fiscal excellence.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Prepare and submit accurate monthly financial statements, capital expenditure reports and supporting schedules.
      • Serve as the primary financial liaison to the Finance Committee and CFO, provide financial insights and support strategic discussions.
      • Implement and adhere to policies and procedures for accounting functions, including compliance with all company standards. Oversee, monitor and enforce internal accounting controls to safeguard assets and minimize fraud risk including theft or internal fraud.
      • Assist the General Manager / COO in preparing and monitoring the annual budget and forecasts for all departments, as well as generating various reports. Support the General Manager / COO in developing strategies for the club to perform efficiently.
      • Monitor and coordinate property plans of overall future objectives including projections, costs, and capital requirements.
      • Monitor and manage cash flow, issue vendor payments, alert General Manager / COO when cash flow problems arise. Reconcile all balance sheet accounts and maintain fixed asset schedules.
      • Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and administrative functions.
      • Generate daily/weekly revenue and payroll reports, submit weekly reports to the General Manager / COO.
      • Coordinate and support year-end audits/reviews with external auditors.
      • Complete, review, and monitor vendor contracts to ensure fiscal responsibility.
      • Ensure timely compliance, collection and payment of all local, state, and federal tax regulations.
      • Maintain shareholder activity, issue and retire shares, oversee annual election administrative functions and attend annual shareholders meeting.
      • Proof monthly member newsletter and other duties are required.
      • Recruit, train, develop, and supervise Admin department team.

      Qualifications:
      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
      • Four to ten years of related experience, preferably within hospitality or private club environments.
      • Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, and cash management principles.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management/accounting systems.
      • Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a team.

      Physical Demands:

      Frequently sits, uses hands, reaches with arms and hands, talks or hears. Occasionally stands, walks, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches. Occasionally lift up-to 25 pounds.

      Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

      • Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
      • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
      • Knowledge of property management system.
      • Experience with Jonas POS/Accounting software a plus.
      • Experience in providing a Private Club / Country Club level customer service environment.
