      JOB SUMMARY:

      The Property Maintenance Department is a fun and exciting way to join the on-mountain ski industry and the Monarch family. Property Maintenance Custodians should have a positive attitude, enjoy working on a variety of projects, and helping guests as needed. Property Maintenance Custodians effectively and efficiently maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the main lodge, rental center, and lesson center.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

      The Property Maintenance Custodian responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

      • Provide information and direction to guests in a polite and courteous manner.
      • Work in conjunction with other employees and departments as part of the Monarch team.
      • Perform general cleaning, stocking and upkeep duties inside of the main lodge, Rental & Lesson Center, to include: trash removal, windows & doors, hydration stations, and vacuuming.
      • Be up to date with and utilize Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including, though not limited to, harnessing, bio-hazard protection…etc.
      • Use tools, power tools, chemicals, equipment…etc. in a knowledgeable, safe and appropriate manner.
      • All restrooms cleaned nightly, stocked and in working order.
      • May require working after closing as cleaning permits.
      • Possible snow removal duties around all base area buildings & roof.
      • Maintain the organization and working order of tools, materials and basic equipment used.
      • Keep Supervisor apprised of supplies inventory as necessary.

      • Is flexible with hours and days of work. Can work any hours during the business day including mornings, evenings or split shifts, and any days of the week (including weekends and holidays)


      JOB REQUIREMENTS:

      • Minimum Age: 18
      • Legal citizen of the United States or possess other proper work permit authentication.
      • High School Diploma or GED required, college degree preferred.
      • Requires stretching, bending, grasping, climbing ladders, getting on roofs, reaching, pushing, working in small places and shoveling.
      • Ability to push, lift, and move up to 90 lbs.
      • Requires working at high elevation (up to 12,000’), with extended exposure to adverse weather conditions, such as severe cold, heavy snowfall, rain, strong winds and intense sun.


      JOB TYPE: Winter Seasonal, Full and Part Time

      • Compensation: Proposed hiring rate starts at $18.00 (actual pay will be adjusted based on experience).
