      Due to rapid growth, Oracle Government Defense and Intelligence (GDI) is seeking a Senior Proposals Specialists - Cloud Solutions that have a passion for cloud concepts, and system integration, and cloud migrations that can support internal Oracle sales efforts. This role is ideal for someone who is tired of working on the same project or with the exact same technology for months or years without the possibility of future growth. Those who excel in this role are motivated self-starters who love to solve challenging problems, are strong technical writers, feel comfortable working directly with customers and have an insatiable curiosity about what “is possible” with cloud technology. The primary focus of a Solutions Pre-Sales Engineer is to become an expert in a core set of Oracle products and solutions and to present the value proposition and benefits of our solutions to our partners, prospects, customers, and internally to our sales force.

      This is a HYBRID position with the candidate based in the VA/DC area.

      Candidates will need to be able to obtain a Secret / Top-Secret Security Clearance to work with the US Federal government.

      US: Hiring Range: from $137,900 to $232,300 per annum. May be eligible for equity and compensation deferral. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 70/30.

      Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
      Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

      Responsibilities

      Is this the position for you?

      As a Proposal Cloud Solution Pre-Sales you will be responsible for:

      • Writing technical proposals for US federal government customers seeking Oracle Cloud services and task order solutions (sizing and architecture).
      • Understanding, identifying, and documenting client requirements, conduct business and technical studies, design, develop, integrate, and implement information systems business solutions, and provide advice on information systems strategy, policy, management, security, and service delivery.
      • Providing pre-sales technical and functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction.
      • Acts as a technical resource, mentor, and leader for less experienced Solution Engineers.
      • Design and validate Oracle cloud architecture solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products.
      • Support sales team in online and in-person efforts to ensure technical writing component of the proposals are thorough and aligned.
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills
      • Knowledge and experience with any of public cloud providers including Oracle, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure or Google (GCP) architecture, tools, and cloud methodologies.
