Job Description
- Req#: ENGIN004095
- Program, set-up, and operate a variety of machine tools including CNC lathes, CNC mills, Wire EDM, and various manual (mill, lathe, surface grinder) equipment.
- Identify materials and tooling required to produce prototype parts, tooling, fixtures, gages, etc.
- Follow all documented processes.
- Work closely with engineering to design and develop fixtures, gauges etc.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the complex manufacturing documents and manufacture parts/fixtures start to finish.
- Working knowledge of GD&T.
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment.
- Minimum 4 years of programming experience with lathes, mills, and/or wire EDM.
- MasterCAM proficiency.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Detail oriented, strong analytical, numerical, planning and reasoning abilities
- Swiss Turn Lathe CNC experience/programming is a plus
- 5-axis milling experience/programming is a plus
- Read, analyze and interpret complex manufacturing documents
- Strong manufacturing background (CNC/Metal cutting)
- Excellent organizational and communications skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Summary
The Prototype Machinist will be responsible for manufacturing prototype parts, fixtures, and gages, as well as saleable product.
