      Job Overview:

      Simulates production processes. Assists development of efficient and effective assembly line methods. Performs measurement and fit analysis on prototype vehicles and components to ensure components meet production and quality requirements.

      Responsibilities:
      • Assists engineering in developing assembly line methodologies and work flow
      • Evaluate vehicle prototype parts and vehicle part testing using various conventional measurement and virtual reality methods
      • Define prototype tooling according to drawings, samples, and production requirements
      • Performs complex adjustments and modifications to the vehicle as needed to support introduction of new product parts, van model changes and updates to components
      • Detection of non-routine errors. Root cause analysis of vehicles, parts, software, assemblies and systems errors
      • Assist with creating detailed reports to document findings in root cause analysis
      • Perform test driving as needed to observe van systematic functionality, including electronic diagnosis, and provide subjective evaluation
      • Use specialized equipment to perform electronic tests and diagnoses
      • Assist with cost evaluation
      • Assist with preparing training and qualification measures and documentation
      • Technical discussions with internal and external experts
      • Determine repair requirements based on analysis. May coordinate repairs with third parties
      • Propose modifications, solutions, and next steps in alignment with internal and external customers
      • Will perform all other duties as assigned
      • Participate in team meetings and projects

      Qualifications:

      • High School Diploma or GED
      • Required: 4+ years relevant experience; OR Relevant certificate + 3 years relevant experience; OR Relevant associates degree + 1 year relevant experience
      • Preferred: 5+ years relevant experience; OR Relevant certificate + 4 years relevant experience; OR Relevant assoc. degree + 2 years relevant experience
      • Valid driver’s license
