      Fresno Administration (Central Star Youth FSP Outpatient Programs)

      Starting Compensation:

      Contracted hourly rate open to negotiation

      Working Location:

      Fresno, CA

      Working Hours/Shift:

      Monday - Friday Regular Business Hours depending on client need

      What you bring to SBHG:

      • Doctor of Medicine

      • Experience with County mental health, child welfare, and/or juvenile probation systems and services preferred.

      • Current state medical license in good standing with the medical board.

      • Current DEA License

      • Current malpractice insurance

      • Valid California Driver's License

      • Board Certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

      How you will make a difference:

      • Performs complete initial psychiatric assessments on participants to determine DSM V diagnosis and develop a plan of care including medication furnishing if indicated.
      • Provides psychiatric services to participants, including psychiatric evaluation and follow up, prescriptions, medication consents, and case management.
      • Develops, follows and maintains a comprehensive treatment plan that adequately addresses the behavioral healthcare medical needs of the participant.
      • Partners with Behavioral Health staff to ensure services are integrated into the clinical treatment with the highest level of quality attainable.
      • Availability by phone to provide support and assistance in problem resolution.
      • Provides timely documentation of each encounter with a participant, including symptoms addressed, need for current treatment, and rationale for any changes in treatment, within an electronic medical record.
      • Ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, and clinical policies and procedures with regard to medical care.
      • Collaborates with Nurse Practitioners providing psychiatric services to participants. This includes being available by phone for consultation as needed.
      • Provides consultation to Behavioral Health staff.
      • Participates in quarterly peer reviews.
      • Outreaches to community agencies and health care settings.
      • Collaborates with agency leadership to enhance the Psychiatry Program.

      In accordance with California law, the grade for this position is 73.55 - 117.69. Placement within the grade is determined based on experience, internal equity, and other factors permitted by law.
