Summary
Alameda Health System (AHS) is seeking Psychiatrists for Per Diem, Varied shifts, in the Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES) at the nationally recognized John George Psychiatric Hospital.
John George is conveniently located in the San Francisco Bay Area, just south of Oakland. San Francisco is just a short drive away. The department’s mission is to provide the best comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health services to adults with mental illness in Alameda County.
Psychiatrist Salary
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of medicine or osteopathic medicine with an MD or DO.
Minimum Experience: Prior community mental health services systems experience.
Required Licenses/Certifications: CPI -Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (required for all positions at John George Psychiatric Pavilion; and certain positions in the Emergency Department).
Required Licenses/Certifications: Valid Postgraduate Training License with approval from Residency Program Director; or Valid CA License to practice Medicine with eligibility for certification in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

1. Full time, part time and SAN positions for Inpatient services.
2. SAN positions for weekend/holiday coverage on inpatient and psychiatric emergency services (PES).
3. SAN positions for night coverage in Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES).
*Current Psychiatry residents enrolled in ACCGME accredited residency program can apply for SAN positions.
