Your Opportunity:
The successful applicant will work within the Adult, Geriatric, and Paediatric divisions administering and scoring various Psychological and Neuropsychological measures under the direction of a Registered Psychologist. Recording detailed behavioural observations is required. Liaising with Psychologists, Neuropsychologists, and other members of the treatment team will also be expected to ensure patient care. The successful candidate will work with a variety of patient groups across the lifespan, including but not limited to stroke, acquired brain injury, fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, dementia, autism spectrum disorder, and other complex diagnostic groups.
Description:
As a Psychometrist, you will provide services related to psychological assessment, working under the direction of the responsible psychologist(s). You will meet with patients and administer and score a variety of psychological tests, and record behavioural observations. Your information and results are provided to effectively support the psychologist(s) responsible for interpreting assessment data and any related clinical decision making or recommendations. You may also provide support to psychologists in their research and or evaluation activities.
Completion of bachelor's degree in Psychology from an accredited university.
Additional Required Qualifications:A Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.Sc.) from an approved University training program is required. Demonstrated test administration skills and a minimum of 2 years of experience with a variety of current assessment measures are required. The successful applicant must, at minimum, be proficient in the administration and scoring of the following measures: WAIS-IV, WISC-IV, WMS-IV, WIAT-III, WRAT-5, RCFT, CVLT-3, and WCST.
Preferred Qualifications:Preference will be given to candidates who have proficiency with additional psychological or neuropsychological measures. Experience in assessment with a variety of patient populations across the lifespan and with co-facilitating treatment groups is an asset.
