- High School Diploma or Equivalency
- Type 25 WPM accurately
- Valid Florida Driver’s License
- Basic Knowledge of general office equipment
- Basic computer skills
- Receive, route, and disperse telephone calls and messages
- Greet and assist visitors
- Coordinate and monitor visits
- Process and approve visitor applications
- Inspect, sort, and distribute inmate mail to include legal mail
- Sort and verify inmate canteen orders
- Retrieve documentation, reports, and files
- All other duties as assigned
- Report directly to supervisor
- Adhere to laws/agency policy/rules/ regulations/SOP/ procedures
- Maintain confidentiality/security of files and information obtained in the course of employment
- Maintain continuity and operational efficiency by accurate and timely dissemination of information to Staff and co-workers
- Adhere to leave, overtime and attendance policies/procedures (i.e. arrive promptly, regular attendance at work, notification to supervisor regarding absence from work due to illness or untimely incidents, etc.)

Primary Purpose
The Corrections Technical Assistant (CTA) is a part-time position responsible for assisting the Corrections Division with inmate communication services, canteen, inmate programs, and all other functions that may be a benefit to the inmate population. This position is responsible for monitoring inmate visits and mail, verifying canteen orders, and assisting the Programs deputy as needed.
