      Job Title : PT Job Developer

      Reports To : Lead Skills Trainer & Director of Employment & Transition

      Program: Internship to Career

      Department: Employment & Transition

      Pay rate: $25/hour

      The Internship to Career (I2C) program equips pre-employment transition students, ages 14-21, with meaningful and integrated work-based learning experiences. Through work readiness skills training, resource sharing, one-on-one job exploration counseling, and internships, participants will gain confidence and experience needed to propel them to the next level in their path to obtain success in a career of their choice.

      This part-time position will focus on internship site development and business relations. The ideal candidate will be available for 10-20 hours a week with preference for afternoon hours. This is a remote position that requires occasional travel within the following counties: Burlington, Essex, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Union, and Somerset.

      Job Duties:

       Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and employers.

       Develop and expand internship opportunities through outreach and collaboration with employers.

       Utilize a variety of job development strategies, including remote outreach, in-person networking, and social media engagement.

       Match participants with appropriate internship opportunities based on their skills, interests, and career goals.

       Coordinate and confirm internship schedules, tasks, and responsibilities with employers and participants.

       Serve as a liaison between program staff, internship supervisors, and employers to support positive outcomes and address concerns.

       Maintain accurate records of employer contacts and internship sites in Microsoft Teams and MS Excel trackers.

       Prepare and update internship site spreadsheets to align with monthly reporting requirements.

       Provide weekly job development updates to program staff.

       Ensure all internship-related documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time.

       Assist in collecting data for program evaluation and grant reporting.

      Qualifications:

       Associate’s degree in Human Services, Education, Business, or a related field.

       Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with transition-aged youth, individuals with disabilities, or in a job development/job coaching role.

       Knowledge of workforce development practices and employer engagement strategies.

       Strong verbal and written communication skills.

       Demonstrated ability to build partnerships with employers and community stakeholders.

       Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams) and comfort using online platforms for communication and reporting.

       Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

       Flexibility to travel locally to meet with employers and visit internship sites.

      Qualifications


      Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

      • Serve as a resource regarding support coordination, job development, and resources for people with disabilities.
      • Teach vital Support Coordination concepts and processes as they relate to Employment First.
      • Collaborate to develop trainings for Support Coordinators and similar professionals centered on Employment First.
      • Design employment related preparatory training, such as resume development, interview skills, job search options, networking skills and on-the-job relationship protocol.
      • Research suitable business partnerships for job exploration or placements
      • Actively develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and employers to understand their hiring needs and promote client placement opportunities.
      • Assist with the development and execution of group-based skills development workshops during the pre-employment phase of the program.
      • Aid in job searches, application submission, interviewing and assistive technology assessment and procurement.
      • Identify and share pertinent resources for employment to include reliable transportation options.
      • Perform any other duties that aid EmployAbility staff with trainings for support coordination, workshops for program participants, or business partnerships for placements.
