- Accept cash items for deposit and complete regulatory forms and logs.
- Verify amounts on deposits and examine checks for endorsement.
- Cash checks and pay out money upon verification or signatures and customer balances.
- Place "hold" on accounts for uncollected funds.
- Balance cash and ATM (if applicable) transactions daily.
- Process general ledger entries as required.
- Order supply of cash to meet daily needs, count incoming cash and prepare cash for shipment.
- Provide additional customer service, including the sale of traveler's checks, money orders, cashier's checks. Also process loan payment and pay off, payments of safe deposit box, etc.
- Promote Bank's services and cross sale Bank's products.
- Make concentrated efforts to solve customer problems.
- Make recommendations to supervisor about possible methods to improve department functions.
- File signature cards and maintain supplies for the teller area.
- Formal training as a teller in a financial institution and at least 3 years of experience in a similar job is required or equivalent combination of education and sufficient experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the job is required.
