The City of Albuquerque’s Department of Arts & Culture is seeking a skilled and visionary arts professional to serve as the Public Art Urban Enhancement Manager. This leadership role oversees one of the country’s most respected public art programs, guiding the development of both permanent and temporary works—including digital media projects—throughout the city. The position manages exhibitions at City-operated gallery spaces, supports community engagement through programs like the Urban Enhancement Trust Fund, and plays a key role in shaping Albuquerque’s cultural identity through inclusive and innovative public art initiatives.
Plan, direct, manage, and lead the activities and operations of the Public Art Enhancement Urban programs including, but not limited to, oversight of all Public Art collections, developing and maintaining exhibitions, implementation of capital projects and providing oversight to volunteer and special event programs. Manage operations of assigned City gallery spaces; provide oversight of exhibitions and programming at other assigned City-operated venues as appropriate. Coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, outside agencies, and the general public; provide highly responsible and complex administrative duties in support of the Director of the Cultural Services Department.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in art, art history, arts administration, architecture, or public administration, and
Seven (7) years' experience working with Public Arts or an institutional arts program, and
To include four (4) years of supervisory experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License or the ability to obtain within ninety
(90) days from date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.About the company
