      Summary of the Job:

      The Public Entity Relationship Manager will have a focus on growing our Public/Government portfolios (i.e. school districts, municipalities, libraries, city/county districts, water districts) and is a multi-faceted role responsible for providing consultation to customers, prospects, and business partners in the public/government sectors. The role is responsible for identifying opportunities for RFP’s and will collaborate with internal partners to support the full RFP lifecycle.

      This role provides industry-specific expertise and relationship management through advice and guidance throughout the customer lifecycle, including prospecting, sales, and implementation. Successful individuals will demonstrate general acumen in the industry’s environment, detailed knowledge of receivable, payables, and credit alternatives and industry-specific solutions to provide streamlined financial processes to optimize the customer’s financial results. Must be skilled in leading discovery conversations focused on understanding customer and prospect finance-related operations and initiatives and able to design and deliver industry solutions in alignment with those needs.

      About This Role:

      Solution Acumen and Application

      • Demonstrate an advanced understanding and application of the public/government receivable and payables solution set

      • Maintain a subject matter expertise of P Card, fraud tools, and tax increment financing within the industry
      • Maintain an advanced understanding of FNBOs current and prospective solution set, and position in the marketplace
      • Experience in product pricing and negotiation, and ability to set competitive pricing for customers

      New Business Development

      • Develop and execute a market development plan to attain production goals
      • Lead discovery conversations to understand customer/prospect operations and goals
      • Design and deliver industry receivable and payables solutions in alignment with customer needs and goals, demonstrating fit and value. Understand credit opportunities and general solutions.
      • Develop and maintain individual client management plans and goals for top clients in the portfolio
      • Proactively generate payment revenue opportunities internally and externally

      Partnership

      • Facilitate collaboration between internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery of the intended customer experience
      • Develop and maintain alignment with business development partners to pursue mutual goals
      • Communicate functionality, utility, and benefits of FNBO solutions to internal stakeholders
      • Build and maintain effective relationships with partner leadership teams to support effective interactions and drive goal attainment
      • Closely partner with the Government Payment Advisors, Public Finance, and other areas of the bank to maximize the customer experience and results for the bank.

      The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

      Required:

      • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent career experience
      • 5+ years working knowledge in Commercial Banking, Treasury or Sales.
      • Sales orientation and ability to develop or expand business by listening to customer needs, problem solving, and creative thinking.
      • Demonstrated success in independent business development
      • Ability to be self-motivated with the ability to work independently in role
      • Travel required: 25%-35%

      Desired:

      Understanding of the Public/Govt RFP process is preferred

      Compensation:

      Compensation range (base pay): $86,340.00-$142,460.00

      Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
