      DESCRIPTION:

      Duties: Work with senior Public Finance professionals to support their day-to-day activities on assignments including preparing presentation material for client meetings, preparing responses and creating client memos. Interact with professionals in other areas of the firm to facilitate presentations, responses, and execute bond transactions. Utilize industry-approved third-party programs to prepare bond structures. Develop customized financial models to develop customized bond financing structures. Create and monitor debt profiles for issuers or creditors. Evaluate existing debt portfolios for refunding or restructuring opportunities. Execute municipal bond financings for all issues that the firm participates in, which involves interacting with all areas of Public Finance, including Debt Capital Markets, various syndicate desks, credit origination, derivatives and investor marketing. Utilize department deal tracking software for all live transactions. Participate in client presentations.

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Financial Management and Public Finance, Finance, Economics or related field of study plus 1 (One) year of experience in the job offered or as Public Finance Investment Banking, Investment Banker, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Financial Management and Public Finance, Finance, Economics or related field of study plus 3 (Three) years of experience in the job offered or as Public Finance Investment Banking, Investment Banker, or related occupation.

      Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Structuring new money and refunding bond cashflows using DBC-Finance software; Building new financial models including bond cashflows; analyzing and modifying existing financial models using Microsoft Excel; Creating and modifying client presentation materials using Microsoft Powerpoint; Creating and drafting responses to client’s Request for Proposals; Using Bloomberg functions for fixed income products including municipal bonds; and Analyzing an issuer’s portfolio of outstanding debt and creating a debt profile to identify refinancing opportunities.

      Job Location: 383 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10179. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel. Telecommuting permitted up to 20% of the week.

      Full-Time. Salary: $200,000 - $206,000 per year.
