This is an exciting opportunity to join the Public Health team at Cornwall Council and contribute to a wide range of programmes designed to improve the health and wellbeing of the local population and reduce inequalities.
We are looking for a great analyst who will bring data to life, turning it into insight which informs decision making and helps to develop evidence based needs assessments. You will be comfortable with using data to test hypotheses and be skilled at presenting your findings to a range of audiences in a clear and accessible way.
You will be a high performing and enthusiastic individual who is able to build effective relationships with colleagues and partners. You will be highly numerate with statistical and data analysis skills, report writing, and an understanding of how health data can be used to drive change.
This position will be subject to a enhanced criminal record disclosure check.
Whilst the location/work-base for this role may have been specified our evolving ways of working means that the role may require you to also work remotely (e.g., from home/other locations). We will discuss this with you during the recruitment process.

About You
This is a great opportunity for any candidate who is truly dedicated to developing their career as a data analyst. You will play a role in supporting the collection of information and the processing of data to ensure its quality and integrity; and support the production of timely and accurate statistics and reports for a range of key stakeholders.
The successful applicant will have excellent attention to detail and be resourceful and innovative in their approach to problem solving, highly literate and numerate as well as competent in the advanced use of the Microsoft Office suite. A positive, ‘can-do’ approach to work and ability to function as part of a team in a busy environment where priorities and demands can change from day to day is essential.
Experience of analysing NHS or health related data, and/or in producing reports from multiple data sources with a view towards making practical, evidence-based improvement suggestions would be advantageous.
