What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Monitor compliance with State and Federal regulations related to quality management processes and health safety concerns
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of service providers and individual members to ensure compliance with regulations
- Perform on-site investigations for urgent health and safety issues and provide timely resolutions
- Develop improved processes and procedures to enhance the efficiency of the unit
- Provide education and technical assistance to stakeholders regarding covered services and compliance requirements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must possess a current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Arizona
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant healthcare experience
- Knowledge of State and Federal policies governing Medicaid and related services
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to interpret complex rules and regulations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- At least one year of experience in a managed care environment
- Experience in Case Management, Quality Management, Utilization Management, or social work
- Certification as a Professional in Healthcare Quality or case management certification
