- Providing robust support to SANEs through mentorship, technical assistance, continuing education, and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Under limited supervision, uses a basic knowledge of public health principles to analyze, develop, implement, and promote new and creative strategies and solutions to address public health issues and challenges.
- Addresses public health issues by providing education, technical assistance, advocacy, public awareness, and research.
- Works with programs or studies designed to evaluate the prevalence or surveillance of public health issues and the effectiveness of targeted interventions.
- May provide technical assistance to organizations to include presentations, web-based resources, strategies, and educational forums to address specific public health issues.
- May work with clinical study sites on patient recruitment and data collection standards. Assists with data collection and data analysis.
- Contributes to proposals, protocols, data analysis plans, reports, manuscripts, and presentation of study findings.
- May assist in designing, developing, and conducting targeted training initiatives.
- May collaborate with external organizations to develop action plans and goals to achieve specific objectives.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
- A master's degree in Public Health, a master of science degree in Public Health or Health Education, OR a master's degree in Development Practice OR a master's degree in another field and one year of public health experience.
- Language Skills:
- Proficiency in French, Spanish, and/or Haitian Creole is highly desirable.

The School of Nursing's "SAFE Network" seeks a Public Health Program Associate to join their team.
About SAFE Network:
The Southeastern Alliance for Forensic Excellence Network (SAFE Network) works to expand and improve the sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) workforce in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Our mission is to increase access to trauma-informed care for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, especially in underserved areas.

As part of the grant management team, the Public Health Program Associate collaborates with grant leadership and partners to manage and execute the grant project and to provide business support related to external relations, budget and finance, human resources, and operations. This position is responsible for point of contact for day-to-day operations of the project, record keeping, MOU management, scholarship disbursement, implementing, overseeing, managing, coordinating, and tracking project activities and trainees; liaising between project partners; collecting data; and ensuring timely reporting to project leadership and HRSA.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
