- Support Loyalty and Trade program PR needs working closely with executives and teams, drafting messaging materials, pitching media, assisting with responses to media inquiries, drafting/sharing media statements and press releases.
- Managing PR agency accounts with assigned program/projects.
- Write press releases, news blogs, talking points, backgrounders, articles and press kit materials, as well as produce videos or podcasts, as assigned on behalf of management.
- Respond to media inquires, act as a company spokesperson when needed, including weekend/evening on-call duty rotation.
- Participate in event development, planning and execution for media aspects of events, coordination of media at events, follow-up as necessary.
- Manage company's journalist/blogger program, along with related comp cruise request process and tracking.
- Minimum Education: bachelor’s degree
- Discipline/Major: Journalism, Communications or Public Relations
- Required Years/Area of Professional Experience: 5-7 years of experience in public relations, communications and/or media relations with a focus on working with the media preferably within customer-facing or service-related industries, CCL Loyalty/Rewards Program experience strongly preferred. Must display confidence before executives and external stakeholders and demonstrate commitment to Carnival values.
- Critical Professional Related Technical/Computer Skills: Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite tools and Teams. Familiarity with media monitoring tools necessary.
- Other Requirements: Must be willing to sometimes work nights, weekends and holidays if the need arises. While Carnival provides a flexible work environment, this position will be based in South Florida and the successful candidate will be expected to work from the office as needed.

- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills and be capable of writing in A.P./journalism style format. Candidate must also have the ability to write in different voices for different audiences. Strong knowledge of media relations as well as social media platforms and analytics required. Ability to interact with all levels within the organization. Business savvy and ability to maintain composure under stressful circumstances.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
- May need to stand for long periods of time.
- Less than 25% wit shipboard travel likely.
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
- May be requested to work a different shift.
The Public Relations Manager is responsible for public relations and communications functions for the company to include building and leading a PR program for the CCL Loyalty/Rewards Program and separately for the trade team that liaises with the travel agent sales sector. The role will serve as a key point of contact for external public relations agency resources and acting as Carnival spokesperson as appropriate.

The range for this role’s base salary is $75,900 - $122,700. Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
