  Public Relations Senior Specialist

  The Public Relations Senior Specialist for Expedia Group’s B2B public relations / communication team (Industry Relations) will be a central figure in building programs and strategy to shape our Expedia Travel Agent Affiliate Program (TAAP) story with trade press and industry influencers. If you have a hunger to drive best-in-class storytelling and to work in the dynamic travel and technology industries, this is the job for you.

  What you’ll do:

  • Develop and implement marketing / communication plans that support the Expedia TAAP program and team

  • Define key stories for strategic media moments in trade / business press alongside media relations team

  • Drive programs and content creation to establish Expedia Group as a thought leader in the travel agent space

  • Guide strategy, in partnership with Events team, on trade event presence

  • Partner with social media team to grow a social media strategy to engage current and prospective travel advisors in the Expedia TAAP program

  • Manage and influence internal stakeholders and partners as you project manage communication initiatives from development to release to ensure the strongest stories are told in front of key partners

  • Collaborate with a fast-paced global media relations team across the organization on development and roll-out of global PR programs

  • Manage reactive media issues in partnership with Crisis Communication team

  Who you are:

  • 5-7 years experience in PR, communications, or marketing experience in a corporate or agency environment; technology, and/or travel industry experience preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in highly matrixed organizations

  • Exceptional team-building and interpersonal skills – including the ability to represent Expedia Group’s business at the highest levels internally and externally

  • Demonstrated results in working with and leading the thinking of senior management including ability to counsel executives regarding message content and delivery

  • Comfortable with fast-paced working environments and deadlines

  • Ability to manage changing requirements as well as multiple overlapping projects at one time

  • Excellent written, communication, project management and organizational skills
