      Summary of Job Duties:

      Works under the supervision of a Sergeant. Responsible for answering and operating several incoming telephone lines (including an emergency line; dispatching calls to UAMS Police Officers; assisting patients, visitors, and other departments on campus; monitoring closed circuit TV (CCTV) and building alarms; operate the Arkansas Crime Information Center (ACIC) and National Crime Information Center (NCIC) terminal; check for and enter warrants, stolen property, vehicles, and maintaining files, etc. Sets up interviews and performs backgrounds for Security Officer and Dispatcher positions.


      Qualifications:

      • High School Diploma / GED
      • Basic knowledge of computers and general knowledge of Microsoft Office software
      • Be at least 19 years of age
      • Current Arkansas driver's license
      • One (1) year of experience as a dispatcher/operation of public safety communication equipment
