  • Job Description

      Req#: 644320

      The Public Safety Supervisor shall be accountable for the day-to-day supervision and development of shift personnel.

      • Training: Orienting and training officers
      • Inspections: Inspecting officers and other departmental personnel during shifts
      • Briefings: Conducting pre-shift briefings
      • Reports: Reviewing reports and investigations from shifts
      • Supervise: Perform performance reviews, disciplining officers, supervising patrols and performing administrative duties
      • Investigations: Conducting investigations

      Hours:

      • Full time, 40hrs per week
      • Shift: Night Shift
      • Location: St. Petersburg, FL

      Requirements:

      • A minimum of a High School diploma, GED, Certificate of Completion or equivalent achievement
      • 2 years’ experience in security, law enforcement, military or related fields
      • State of Florida Class D Security License
      • Current State of Florida Driver’s License
      • Ability to obtain within 6 months and recertify annually CPR/First Aid, CPI, BLS, Physical Restraint Practical and Safe Driving Course
      • Possess knowledge of security methods and procedures
      • Must be able to complete the Biking Unit Tryouts to join the Biking Unit
