      As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Technology Team. The Puerto Rico Client Technology Specialist I - System Analyst is responsible for systems requirements, files and/or interfaces development, configuration of internal platforms, or new/existing projects. The Puerto Rico Client Technology Specialist I - System Analyst will broaden his or her skills to other platforms and/or other services.

      Key Responsibility Areas:

      • Knowledge of T-SQL (Transact Structure Query Language) including stored procedures, views, and functions for reports used by internal and external clients.
      • Internal applications (H&W, Cobra, and LOA platforms) access provision to ensure authorized and unauthorized access to production data.
      • Ongoing maintenance of assigned and unassigned database projects.
      • Enhancement of existing system requirements based on new/changing business requirements.
      • You must report, research, correct, and test defects in files and/or interfaces, stored procedures, and other database related functions such as to run queries to analyze, review data accuracy and ensure quality.
      • Ability to accurately translate business requirements into functional implementations.
      • Provides ongoing production support by monitoring productions jobs, restarting failed jobs, and performing defect analysis and correction.
      • Investigate data and system troubleshooting maintaining accurate documentation on internal issue databases (Lotus issue database, Maestro issues, etc.).
      • Identify Root Cause of System Problems.
      • Ensures Optimal Solution to Potential System Issues.
      • Keep Others Informed.
      • Looks for opportunities to improve processes.
      • Coaching Benefit Center on processing procedures and system functionality.
      • Research complex participant benefit issues and formulates resolutions/recommendations by analyzing fact patterns and applying plan provisions and best practices.
      • Provides resolution in accordance with due dates and documents processes.
      • Provide technical expertise with internal and external users regarding data files/interfaces.
      • Manage all the programming and maintenance activities of electronic interface incoming and outgoing files for clients that have contracted our service.
      • Evaluate programming code (business rules) for efficiency, debugging, and quality assurance.
      • Understand data requirements and file/interface layouts required by internal/external clients and third parties and translate those requirements into file/interface specifications.
      • Design, update, and deliver unit, integration, regression, and acceptance test plans to ensure data integrity and reporting requirements meet customer needs.
      • Execute data reconciliation before and after implementation as part of the data conversion project.
      • Identify the problem's root cause, address the issue with the corresponding team, and provide relevant information that needs to be evaluated for alternative fixes.
      • Complete configuration, programming, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all file interfaces into internal platforms.
      • Performing massive data uploads and supporting data conversion processes for new and existing clients.
      • Coordinate follow-up meetings with clients or vendors for new files interfaces implementation or updates to existing files interfaces.
      • Provide technical expertise with internal and external users regarding data files/interfaces.
      • Develop and maintain technical documentation.
      • Coach the Operation Team department on processing procedures and system functionality.
      • Provide resolution in accordance with due dates and documents processes.
      • Create SOPs for new processes related to supporting areas that will need to be put in place for the Operational Team to be able to address special requests or address service for our customers.
      • Replicate errors in our QC environment when a problem has been identified, fix and retest until it meets customer needs before moving into the production environment.
      • Document and update client technical data such as requirements according to analysis specifications.

      Formal Education & Certification:

      Bachelors/Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science

      • 4 + years of industry experience including: -
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
      • Structured programming, design, and language(s) understanding of application architecture and technology infrastructure (proficient).
      • Appropriate operating systems, MS Windows Server environment.
      • Application security best practices
      • Relational databases and data models (T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Views, and Triggers) including SQL Server environment.
      • Knowledge in transaction system construction and design best practices.
      • Strong testing and debugging skills.
      • Client plan provisions and business requirements (basic).
      • A solid understanding of the systems development life cycle (SDLC), Testing Methodology /or Human Resources, Human Capital Management, or benefits administration solutions experience is a plus.

      Pay Transparency Statement: Alight takes into consideration a candidate’s experience, education, certification/credentials, market data, internal equity, and geography when determining an offer for a successful employment candidate, and Alight does so on an individualized, non-discriminatory basis. Therefore, an offer may fall anywhere between the estimated minimum base salary for this role of $40,810.00/year (for full time employees) and the estimated maximum base salary for this role of $58,300.00/year (for full-time employees).
