For our local organization Barry Callebaut Schweiz AG we are looking for a
Purchaser 100%
We are looking for a Purchaser who is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, products, and services necessary for the company’s operations. This role ensures that purchasing is cost-effective, timely, and meets the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
● Identify, research, evaluate and select suppliers that meet the organization’s standards of price and quality
● Analyze and evaluate supplier bids, tenders, proposals and quotations
● Negotiate prices and delivery conditions
● Ensure timing and reliability of supply and monitor purchasing activities with the organizations current and anticipated demand for goods and services
● Maintains purchasing records in SAP and approve the purchase invoices
● Monitor the quality and SLA complaints of the internal clients
● Support the internal quality management system SRM
● Evaluate risk and physical position for our volatile raw materials and implement appropriate measures
● Manage mass balance reporting for certain raw materials
● Control flow of import processing
About you:
● Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, supply Chain Management, or related field
● Basic commercial training and further training as a buyer / purchasing specialist with at least 3 years of professional experience in the food industry is an advantage
● Proven experience as a Purchaser, Buyer, or in a similar procurement role
● Native German and very good English skills are required. Knowledge of French is a big plus! Other foreign languages are an advantage
● Strong negotiation and communication skills
● Good understanding of supply chain processes and vendor management
● Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP systems
● Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
● Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
● Efficient and structural way of working

● Independent working, hands-on mentality
