      Description

      The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement of medical supplies, equipment, services, and general facility needs to ensure uninterrupted healthcare operations. This role involves vendor negotiation, cost control, inventory oversight, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, cost-conscious, and able to thrive in a dynamic and patient-centered environment.

      • Manage and execute the procurement process for medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, equipment, office supplies, and facility services.
      • Develop and maintain vendor relationships; negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure cost-effectiveness.
      • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with department heads to forecast supply needs.
      • Track orders and ensure timely delivery and accuracy of received items.
      • Ensure purchasing practices comply with healthcare regulations, organizational policies, and budget constraints.
      • Maintain accurate purchasing records and prepare regular reports on usage, trends, and cost savings.
      • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to evaluate product performance and address concerns.
      • Conduct periodic vendor audits and evaluations.
      • Support emergency purchasing needs and supply chain contingency planning.

      Qualifications


      • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
      • Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management; healthcare experience strongly preferred.
      • Proven track record of controlling and reducing external spend while developing a robust supplier base.
      • Familiarity with medical supplies, equipment, and healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA).
      • Proficient with purchasing software and inventory management systems.
      • Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
      • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
