- Manage and execute the procurement process for medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, equipment, office supplies, and facility services.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships; negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with department heads to forecast supply needs.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery and accuracy of received items.
- Ensure purchasing practices comply with healthcare regulations, organizational policies, and budget constraints.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and prepare regular reports on usage, trends, and cost savings.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to evaluate product performance and address concerns.
- Conduct periodic vendor audits and evaluations.
- Support emergency purchasing needs and supply chain contingency planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management; healthcare experience strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of controlling and reducing external spend while developing a robust supplier base.
- Familiarity with medical supplies, equipment, and healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA).
- Proficient with purchasing software and inventory management systems.
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
