      This is a position specific recruitment. The resulting list of eligible candidates will be used to fill this Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) position/function only. All interested persons will need to re-apply for any future recruitment conducted of this classification .


      The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) owns, operates, and maintains eight major toll facilities comprised of four bridges, two tunnels, and two turnpikes across the State of Maryland.       Nature of Work : The Purchasing Card (P-Card) unit is responsible for the review of all credit card logs received monthly from MDTA cardholders and alternate approvers, and verifying compliance of transactions to State laws and the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR), the Comptroller of Maryland’s Corporate Purchasing Card Program (CPCP) guidelines, and MDTA Finance Division policies and procedures. The employee will import transactions from the Purchasing Card Information System (PCIS) to Microsoft Dynamics subsidiary ledgers, and reconcile monthly transactions. Duties of this position include but are not limited to:

      • Conducting extensive review of all monthly P-Card Logs;
      • Working with Maximo System Administrators to ensure the timely processing of all monthly Maximo P-Card logs while verifying compliance of transactions to the State of Maryland CPCP and procedures manual;
      • Maintaining the monthly P-Card spreadsheet;
      • Preparing manual journal entries for P-Card Logs as needed;
      • Combining the month’s electronic P-Card files for upload to the content server;
      • Assisting with the training of cardholders; and
      • Participating in team meetings for the current and future versions of PCIS.

      Employees in this classification receive supervision from the Purchasing Card Program Administrator. The current vacancy is located in Baltimore, MD. Hybrid telework schedules may be available for this position.

      Minimum Qualifications


      Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

      Experience: Three years experience in administrative or professional work. **One year of experience must include reviewing, recording and balancing financial transactions that involve corporate purchasing cards.
