      Position Specific Description

      This position sits within the Power Generation Division which is responsible for all of NextEra Energy's non-nuclear generation operations, exceeding 40,000 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity.

      The position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of solar collection assemblies on multiple solar power plants to achieve safe, efficient, and environmentally sound plant operations. Maintains all tools, shops, vehicles, and all work locations in a safe and efficient condition. Provides inspection of watch, electrical, mechanical, and electronic troubleshooting for a solar field and pipeline. Inspection is performed daily for fluid system breaches, mechanical component breakage or misalignment, and electrical component failures preventing a collector or groups of collectors from tracking. The job may include other misc. duties as assigned.

      Employees in this senior-level role are responsible for the operation and maintenance of solar generation equipment on multiple solar power plants to achieve safe, efficient, and environmentally sound plant operations. Successful candidates apply advanced knowledge of troubleshooting electrical components and equipment including the use of digital multi-meters, meggers, and amp clamps.

      Job Duties & Responsibilities

      • Performs corrective maintenance and repairs on solar and energy storage power generation equipment
      • Conducts advanced electrical, electronic, and network troubleshooting
      • Provides oversight to other personnel and acts as a Safety Mentor
      • Serves as qualified reliever in the absence of site management
      • Performs switching and grounding of medium and high voltage equipment
      • Leads teams in Quality Improvement (QI) projects
      • Documents work execution and field changes utilizing Maximo
      • Completes special projects or complex task assignments
      • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

      Required Qualifications

      • High School Grad / GED
      • Experience: 3+ years
      • Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Associate's or Equivalent Experience
      • Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified

      The base pay for this position is $68,000.00 to $102,000.00 per year. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.
