- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- One or more years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (internship and/or co-op experience will be considered)
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Vehicle Warranty systems knowledge such as ECB, BSAQ, GSAR, or similar
- Demonstrated Technical Problem-Solving Skills
- Strong understanding of body and /or EDS automotive systems
- Ability to establish a System Engineering approach to problem solving
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools for documentation and presentation
- Engineering Problem Solving; root cause identification and analysis, developing Containment Actions and Permanent Corrective Actions
- Success working in a fast-paced challenging environment

- Support assembly plant with Stop Ships/Stop Builds, Campaigns, Audits, Root Cause Analysis and other Quality related tasks
- Lead engineering commodity changes for future minor product launches and lead cost reduction actions in current production vehicles
- Support Variability Reduction Team (VRT) for specific sub-systems and work closely with Supplier partners for subsystem components to address quality concerns
- Lead engineering trials and the implementation of running changes for the sub-system
- Issue engineering Alerts and initiate and/or pursue authorization of engineering concerns for product changes to support Quality objectives
- Engage technical experts and functional team members for driving resolution and in developing corrective actions to improve product quality
- Maintain sub-system and/or Vehicle Functional Group (VFG) level Quality documents
- Create presentations for various levels of upper management (weekly VRT report out, Vehicle Quality Reviews, Engineering Managers reviews) and review results
- Work onsite on a regular basis
- Local travel up to 5% to visit suppliers

Responsibilities
What you'll be able to do……
The Plant Vehicle Engineer is an integral member of Ford Motor Company's Product Development organization. The PVT Engineer plays a vital role in analyzing and improving the Quality of the vehicles. In this role, you will be 'first line of defense' with regards to quality. Additional responsibilities will include:
Conduct a daily review of incoming warranty claims data, review customer and dealership comments, bin claims into accurate binning categories, contact dealership/s for parts and repair diagnoses, participate in customer call back to ensure proper understanding of customer feedback, review returned parts for root cause analyses and develop Interim Containment and Permanent Corrective Actions
