Job Description

- Evaluates and tests software programs and software development life cycle procedures. Writes, revises, and validates quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to attain quality of software economically and efficiently.
- Develops testing plans/scripts which include conditions, expected results and test data based on knowledge of testing standards and conforming to establishment guidelines.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge in performing moderate to complex testing procedures.
- Evaluates requirements and functional/technical designs to identify and analyze potential risks early in the development cycle and validate functionality according to business requirements.
- Test plan execution, defect management and metric analysis.
- Uses Quality Center to develop test plans/scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications. Use automated testing tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing environment.
- Provides documentation, diagrams, flow charts and any other materials needed to determine and show programs will perform according to user request and conform to guidelines. Analysts will provide metrics and other presentations as needed.
- Document and disseminate test results using statistics for basis of conclusion
- Supports the Voya DevOps platform tools/process and procedures to ensure adherence to quality processes and procedures during the code migration and execution process.
- Recommends improvements or corrections to developers, Business Systems Analyst and QA management.
- Continues to maintain current QA/Test industry standard knowledge to properly manage or follow QA processes.
- Adheres to and supports all organizational and IT policies and procedures regarding software development and project management.
- Two to five years of Quality Assurance and Testing experience, including writing detailed test cases, test plans and strategies.
- Prior experience with web, client server and/or mainframe applications.

Profile Summary:
Makes independent, creative contributions to testing IT business solutions for fulfillment of user requirements and deployment readiness, employing quality standards and controls throughout the change life cycle. Responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing test plans, test scripts, and test methodologies that ensure comprehensive testing of all assigned software systems to ensure compliance with system and risk/compliance specifications. Manages software defect tracking and resolution.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya may offer incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
