      About the Team

      VIZIO’s Technology – Software and Services team is seeking a QA Quality Engineer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work together within the team and contribute to innovate VIZIO products.


      What You Will Do

      • Perform front-end testing of VIZIO TVs.
      • Execute against prepared test plans and work closely with developers for new features.
      • Review project deliverables and ensure they meet quality standards.
      • Analyze and troubleshoot QA related issues in a timely fashion.

      About You

      • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
      • 3 years of relevant experience.
      • Proficient in Python & Shell-Script for embedded devices.
      • Experience in both manual and automated testing
      • Experience debugging embedded systems.
      • Experience with performance testing & data collection
      • Experience working in an AGILE development environment.
      • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman'
      • Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, and test case management tools.
      • Experience in parsing the logs using tools/shell scripts and analyzing the logs
      • Proficient in writing unit test cases for graphics applications, writing unit test cases for video playback, monitoring system health.
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills
      • Demonstrated creativity and initiative in improving test coverage and effectiveness
      • Bonus points for any background with Smart TV/Soundbar technology, knowledge of video streaming protocols and associated technologies (DRM).
