      The Role:

      In this role, you will work closely with product managers, project managers, developers, and operations to figure out quality control solutions to ensure the highest level of quality for new development and enhancements on Morningstar Direct.

      Responsibilities

      • Develop test plans and test cases based on business requirements of functional and non-functional specifications.
      • Review artifacts including spec, AC, test plan and test cases and clarify with BA and PO on any ambiguous information or unclear logic.
      • Execute feature/regression/Ad hoc testing to ensure software work as expected.
      • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs till closed.
      • Report test progress, risk and test results timely
      • Provide support and communication for reported issues in the Live environment.
      • Work with the Automation QA engineers on test cases selection, script developing, maintaining and execution.
      • Work with Performance QA engineer on performance test cases and execution.
      • Mentor Junior QA engineer to grow their product knowledge and testing skills.

      Requirements

      • Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or related.
      • 4 + years of working experience in IT software testing with solid quality assurance knowledge.
      • Strong attention to detail, excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills.
      • Good sense to understand product from the client’s perspective, functional and non-functional, such as usability, performance.
      • Knowledge of tools, concepts, and methodologies of QA, as well as ensuring the technical translation of requirements into test plans
      • Clear communicator (written and verbal) – to ensure the ability to write test plans and test cases and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
      • Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables – ensures the ability to find the defects and bugs quickly, for validating deliverables to meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
      • Skill in SQL /Python, Java or data analytics is a plus.

      Nice to Have

      • 1 – 2 years of hands-on experience in writing automated tests.
      • 1 – 2 years of hands-on performance testing on Web or API
