      Purpose of the role

      The Analyst role spans a broad spectrum of research, investment, and technical tasks as part of the investments team. The Analyst is expected to support all strategies from alpha generation through to implementation and work closely with other teams to create new and support existing strategies by identifying new investment ideas or innovative data sources; gathering and refining complex data for modeling; coding and performing statistical analysis to build and refine models; and interpreting, presenting, and implementing the results. The Analyst will also monitor portfolio risk and country/sector exposures, analyze portfolio returns, and conduct analysis for client communications.

      Specific responsibilities

      • Work with CIO and investment teams to provide oversight to inputs and outputs of our investment signals and assist with the day-to-day management of the investment process

      • Research and implement the CIO’s strategic priorities

      • Analyze the output of our portfolio construction process to ensure the integrity of our investment philosophy

      • Assist research, portfolio management and technology teams with enhancing existing strategies and creating new algorithms

      • Design tools for evaluating portfolio implementation and performance

      • Conduct analysis for client communication and presentations

      Key competencies

      • Minimum of undergraduate and/or graduate coursework in finance, mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, or accounting

      • Previous object-oriented programming experience necessary; Python knowledge strongly preferred

      • Recent Graduates encouraged to apply

      • 0-3 years of quantitative analysis experience preferred

      • Solid understanding of accounting and financial statement analysis

      • Strong programming and statistical analysis skills

      • Strong work ethic and flexible work schedule

      • Detail oriented, good verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative personality

      • Strong sense of integrity
