  This role as a Senior Quality Control Analyst will focus and lead the training of all analysts within Quaiity Control (QC)

  The Senior QC Analyst will work alongside the QC lead analysts to develop a training plan for each QC analysts.

  They will either be the expert in the method/SOP or will ask for another analyst who is suitably experienced/expert to train. However, they will control the training process, asking for the relevant time to be booked out in the QC schedule.

  For new QC analyst a training plan will be set out over a 24-month period. Setting out what SOP, method the analyst should learning and in what time frame. Commentary will be provided to the QC lead analyst to be used during probation review.

  Once the training plan has completed at 24 months. A new training development plan will be drawn up for the next 12 months and so on.

  Status of each analysts training will be provided to the QC lead analyst each month for use in 1-2-1s.

  The Senior QC Analyst will organize which analysts will test the proficiency test when they come in. providing the information to the QC lead analyst for scheduling.

  The Senior QC Analyst will work alongside the method development analysts to ensure new lab methods are fit for purpose within QC. They will also perform the intermediate precision on any new lab method. This will enable the new lab methods to be method transferred into QC and the Senior QC Analyst to become familiar with method to enable further training out.

  The Senior QC Analyst will ensure that any updates to SOP/Lab methods are trained out to all member of QC who require to be trained in the SOP/method

  The Senior QC Analyst will ensure that training it completed in the following way

  • Trainee reads method/SOP Trainer demonstrates method/SOP as required Trainer discusses and checks knowledge of the method/SOP with Trainee and/or Trainer watches trainee perform/use the SOP/method insuring that they are comfortable with the process Trainee to performing any training runs as required Trainer can then sign of the trainee once any training runs have passed and the trainee has demonstrated the required knowledge
