Job Description
- Req#: 22303
- Prepares and analyzes meat samples using various equipment.
- Makes accept/reject decisions on product conformity according to the current customer requirements and Total Quality Control (TQC) Program.
- Uses AS400 to release product.
- Conducts Weight Control Audits on packaged bacon products.
- Conducts calibration checks on lab equipment and completes daily, weekly and monthly maintenance checks.
- On weekends, performs pre-operative inspection of plant and determines acceptability of sanitation process.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated use of strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well independently and as a team member.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Good computer skills including LIMS, AS400, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Withstand long periods of time working on your feet and walking on damp slippery floors.
- Ability to work in a climate-controlled environment with temperatures ranging from 30-40°F
