Responsible for inspection of in-process and finished goods with emphasis on precision machined parts to customer quality standards and dimensional control. Responsible for ensuring that finished goods meet all customer quality requirements prior to shipment.
Job duties and Responsibilities:
1. Adheres to all company quality, safety policies/procedures and maintains a clean work environment.
2. Working from verbal or written instructions, quality standards, and/or other quality document.
3. Dimensionally inspects machined parts using a variety of measuring and gauging instruments.
4. Performs incoming material inspection according to establishing standards.
5. Performs First Article in-process and final inspection to ensure customer quality
standards are met.
6. Maintains inspection records and records and logs inspection data, NCR’s.
7. Initiates and maintains positive interaction between the quality and production personnel.
8. Generates final inspection, material certs and required customer documentation/labels.
9. Maintains equipment in a clean manner and ensures that all equipment is stored properly such that it will be protected from damage when not in use.
10. Performs other related duties as assigned by staff and supervision.
Minimum Entry Requirements:
1. Ability to read and write English.
2. Basic math skills, shop math trigonometry.
3. 5-10 years experience as a machine job shop inspector.Equal Opportunity Employer
