  Qualified Mental Health Professional

  Are you a highly skilled mental health professional with a passion for making a difference in the lives of individuals in recovery? The Michigan Department of Corrections is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Mental Health Professional to join our multi-disciplinary treatment team. This is your opportunity to work inside correctional facilities throughout Michigan, positively impacting lives by conducting comprehensive assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and facilitating empowering groups focused on building the necessary skills for long-term success.
  
  Master's Level Licensed Mental Health Professional requirements:
  We are currently seeking a full-time Qualified Mental Health Professional with a Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling. The ideal candidate will have a valid Michigan license to provide therapy, at least one year of experience, and the ability to pass background screenings and all required health screenings, including drug screening, physical, and 2-step TB. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team are essential for success in this role.
  Pay is competitive:
  Up to $55/hour
  Full-time, M-F 8am – 4:30pm
  
  QMHP Job Responsibilities:
  • Comply with Michigan Department of Corrections policies and procedures
  • Maintain records, prepare reports and correspondences
  • Complete assessments and treatment plans
  • Facilitate groups focused on skills necessary to assist individuals in achieving long-term success
  • Support evidence-based treatment methods
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing, utilizing electronic records
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
  • Provide patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner, considering cultural diversity and age appropriateness to preserve autonomy, rights, and dignity
  • Perform other duties as assigned
