      ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
      • Continue to build, implement, maintain and improve the Corporate QMS under the direction of the Corporate leadership team
      • Provide support, when necessary, regarding corrective and preventive actions at Carlex facilities
      • Support the implementation of one Corporate quality manual for each facility to use for continuity and consistency
      • Control the set-up, application, maintenance, document control and improvement of quality management systems database through the IT shared portal
      • Organize and schedule IATF compliant Corporate internal audits and monitor corrective and preventive actions to assure true root cause is addressed in a timely manor
      • Draft and/or distribute external documents related to QMS as necessary
      • Maintain a companywide quality calendar for critical events
      • Work with Carlex’s 3rd party registrar to assure all facilities are continuously improving and maturing their QMS
      • Drive the “process approach” to auditing across the company, both internal and external
      • Act as a change agent at Carlex to move the company from a reactive culture to a more preventative quality culture
      • Mentor and nurture plant quality managers as part of the company’s succession planning process

      REQUIREMENTS
      Education:
      • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business required
      • IATF Auditor certification must be acquired within the first year of employment
      • IATF Lead Auditor certification preferred
      Years of Experience:
      • 5-7 years of Quality Systems experience in a manufacturing environment – Automotive, Aerospace or Food Manufacturing highly preferred
      • 2-3 years in a divisional or corporate quality role with multi-plant responsibility preferred
      Other Requirements:
      • Robust understanding of ISO 9001 and their application in an automotive Tier 1 and Tier 2 facility
      • Valid driver’s license and passport required for travel up to 25%
      • Off-schedule hours may be required as work load or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays


      KEY COMPETENCIES
      • Advanced/Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
      • Advanced/Intermediate skill level with Minitab
      • Hands-on approach to problem solving and analysis
      • Excellent Analytical Skills
      • Ability to effectively lead and teach Quality standards and tools other departments
      • Ability and willingness to learn and implement IATF 16949
