      OVERVIEW:

      The Quality Analyst will help achieve the mission of United Way of Greater Houston by supporting the expansion of capacity building efforts related to data, evaluation and continuous quality improvement (CQI) for nonprofit partners. The Quality Analyst will work closely with the Mission and Strategy team to ensure appropriate training and relationship-building across organizations and systems to achieve the highest level of impact within each region of the Integrated Client Journey (ICJ).

      PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Provide oversight and lead expansion of capacity building efforts related to data, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement (CQI) for nonprofits partners. Develop curriculum and facilitate training for nonprofit staff strengthening their knowledge and skills of the data life cycle including design, collection, analysis, interpretation, and visualization for Coffee & Quality. Coach nonprofit staff on the use of quantitative and qualitative data to ensure maximum impact. Support nonprofits through training and technical assistance for planning, designing, and conducting evaluation and program improvement activities. Support agency CQI teams and leadership with questions of program performance and improvement. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders on the use and interpretation of data.
      • Provide support for quality assurance of client data entered in the ICJ tech tool and resource/capacity updating of programs and services. Use data to answer questions from internal and external stakeholders to inform program performance, improvement and ensure maximum impact. Attend and/or present data findings at internal and external meetings. Respond to requests for data or information.
      • Provide cross-functional collaboration for planning and implementation within Mission and Strategy and other departments: Working collaboratively, utilize data provided to review current implementation plan and methodology and make appropriate recommendations for needed improvements across all areas of Mission and Strategy that will advance our goals for ensuring all members of our community have the opportunity to thrive. At times, lead various planning and development efforts within Mission and Strategy.
      • Continuously improve knowledge and expertise: Seek out and utilize literature, research, and other current information to stay abreast of latest in data, CQI and evaluation including ALICE data, their challenges, and practices to remove barriers and move towards goals. Utilize this information to inform and educate community partners, stakeholders and colleagues.
      • Constituent Relationships: Work with UWGH’s Advancement team to identify, develop and implement opportunities to communicate work, UWGH goals and priorities to constituents. Be an effective and compelling communicator of the same to advance engagement and brand value.

      Experience

      Required 5 years

      Demonstrated understanding of continuous quality improvement including outcome and process evaluations; Demonstrated experience with quantitative and qualitative data collection, aggregation, analysis, interpretation, and visualization; Experience with developing and facilitating curriculum for diverse audiences. Proven ability to articulate and explain data analytics to others required; Must possess advanced knowledge of various software platforms: Excel, Tableau, and Power BI.
