The role
Quality and Risk Consultant position is available on a full time basis. This role is positioned within Santam Tied Agency Distribution, operating within the Sanlam Distribution Channel to be based in Bellville.
What will you do?
The objective of the role is to mitigate risk which stems from the quality of advice, increase production and to upskill the existing advisors with Commercial Lines Product accreditation The role focuses primarily on coaching, vesting and developing Sanlam STi advisors
What will make you successful in this role?
• Implement targeted risk management strategies
• Active upskilling and coaching of Sanlam Tied Agents
• Coaching and supervision of Sanlam advisors - Commercial Lines
• Facilitating and co ordinating “work sessions”
• Being able to explain complex underwriting principles and decisions to Sanlam Advisors
• Joint visits, Field Visits with Sanlam Advisors
• Responsible for monthly compliance monitoring
• Business – to achieve compliance targets set and implement actionable plans to improve
• Monthly Audits on all new commercial business identifying and addressing risks.
• Liaising with Santam commercial hub and underwriting
Qualifications and Experience
• Completed RE 5
• Relevant Short-Term Insurance qualification/s – NQF 4 level
• Minimum 5 years Commercial product and underwriting experience
• Agri product and underwriting experience is beneficial
Knowledge
• All relevant Santam systems i.e Mainframe, Policy centre
• Relevant regulatory legislation and compliance knowledge (FAIS accredited)
• Ability to upsell and identify growth opportunities.
• Financial Services Product Knowledge (Santam, Niche and competitors)
• Policy admin and claims knowledge.Personal Attributes
