Job Description

- Ensure good manufacturing practices and hygiene standards are being maintained across the site through management of a comprehensive audit schedule (GMP, Hygiene and fabrication inspections)
- Completing internal audits to verify compliance with customer and external standards alongside the operations team to identify compliance and points for improvements
- Hygiene verification checks between product types - swabbing when necessary
- Advise and support production staff to improve food safety culture
- Raw Materials and supplier approval
- Liasing with the Operations to ensure documents are accurate and updated where necessary
- Conducting calibration and internal verification as per schedule (scales, temperature probes, pH meters etc.)
- Packaging and label checks
- Inspection and sign off following engineering/ maintenance works
- Management of the shelf life testing schedule and sample storage areas in accordance with customer requirements
- Investigating food safety incidents, non-conformances and supplier complaints where necessary in conjunction with cross functional team
- Environmental monitoring of the site, recording results and investigating failures
- Collating samples for external laboratory analysis
- Reporting and trending of key quality data for discussion in monthly Quality meetings
- Monitoring of QA Evesham email inbox and responding to customer queries
- Global scorecard completion
- Completion of customer questionnaires
- Issuing of certificates of conformance
- Any other reasonable tasks

Fundamentals of the position:
Specialist Areas of Experience Preferred or Equivalent:
• Detailed knowledge of BRC and IFS standards.
• HACCP knowledge
• Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene
• MS Office suite to Intermediate level (Word/Excel etc.)• Minimum Applicable Years of Experience and Area/Field:
• At least 3 years’ experience of food manufacturing._
