What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct daily activities of the National Quality Assurance program
- Perform quality audits on vendor and Care Delivery coding results
- Assist with various coding initiatives and audits
- Work with multiple coding tools and EMR systems
- Ensure consistent application of Optum Coding Guidelines
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Coding Certification (CPC, COC, CIC, CCS, CCS-P, or RHIT)
- 4+ years of recent experience in ICD-10-CM coding
- 2+ years of recent Medicare Risk Adjustment experience
- 1+ years of recent experience in a coding auditor role
- Ability to work during normal business hours and meet telecommuting requirements
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- CRC (Certified Risk Coder) in addition to required coding certification
- Inpatient coding experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Outstanding verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
