      Quality Assurance Data Analytics Co-Op

      LOCATION: Houston - Texas - USA

      DEPARTMENT: OTHERS

      Main Responsibilities:
      • Design, test, and implement data analytics tools to accomplish value-added projects in the field of manufacturing quality. Examples of projects include:
      o Text analysis of past quality issues to identify underlying causes, emerging trends, and areas to focus.
      o Numeric analysis of process control variables to predict product testing results for heat treatment processes.
      o Statistical analysis of inspection data to calculate process reliability and preventively identify problem areas.
      • Implement tools in such a way that they can be maintained, updated, and continually used in an ongoing way.
      • Maintain confidential information as confidential, complying with all Tenaris Data Leak Prevention requirements.
      • Comply with Tenaris policies, procedures, and management standards, and ensure adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.

      Expected Learning Outcomes:
      • Knowledge of Mill Product Manufacturing: Gain a deep understanding of mill product manufacturing processes, including rolling, forging, heat treatment, and surface treatment, and their applications in various industries.
      • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Learn how to collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data, applying statistical methods and using software tools to draw meaningful conclusions and make recommendations for process improvements.
      • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Acquire skills in identifying and resolving production-related issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot problems and implement effective solutions.
      • Team Collaboration: Enhance interpersonal and communication skills by working closely with experienced professionals and cross-functional teams, contributing effectively to collaborative projects and exchanging knowledge and ideas.
      • Industry Knowledge and Trends: Stay updated on the latest advancements in mill product manufacturing and metallurgical processes, understanding industry trends, emerging materials, and their potential applications.

      Special Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:
      • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

      • Ability to work up to 20 hours a week remotely
      • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze data effectively.
      • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
      • Familiarity with relevant software tools, such as Python, R, SQL, etc.
