- Acting as a Lead Auditor to confirm adequate arrangements are in place for satisfying site licence requirements
- Supporting the Quality Management Group Head and the Technical Safety Support Manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining coherent and integrated Quality Management systems
- Preparing, managing and conducting a programme of Internal Station Audits
- Reviewing Quality Plans for Station/Supplier QA grade 1 and 2 tasks and Contract Enquiry Technical Specifications
- Taking an active role to promote activities that support safe and reliable operation of the plant and maintain full compliance within agreed safety, quality and environmental standards and expectations
- Providing management system expertise, support and guidance to station process owners and departments to assist them in ensuring quality standards with a consistent approach
- Representing the station on management system/quality assurance matters and participating in associated working groups.
Here at Hunterston B Power Station, West Kilbride, we’re looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join us. This is a role where you’ll be responsible for supporting, monitoring and identifying opportunities for the development and implementation of Station Management systems. You’ll be working to meet the requirements of the Nuclear Site Licence and Company Quality Policies, so we’re looking for you to be engaging, proactive and have a good attention to detail.
Pay, benefits and culture
We can offer a competitive salary from £40,069 – £84,892 and you’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Nuclear Generation Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications. This is a full-time, site based position.

Who you are
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you must hold a minimum of HNC level qualification or equivalent and have a background in Quality Assurance. Lead auditor qualifications for ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 would be desirable.
