      Quality Assurance Inspector – 1st Shift – Salina, KS

      Great Plains Manufacturing is seeking a 1st Shift Quality Assurance Inspector to join our Quality Control department for our CE Facility in Salina, KS.

      This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. , with overtime on Fridays, as required.

      Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Review manufacturing processes throughout the facility to ensure a quality product
      • Identify defective parts in each department and address as needed
      • Troubleshoot causes of defects
      • Understand and identify proper welds, paint and fasteners
      • Interpret Engineering Prints
      • Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
      • Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.

      Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

      • Ability to read and understand engineering prints
      • Demonstrates working familiarity with precision measuring tools
      • Ability to communicate accurately both written and verbal
      • Thrive in fast paced, high-pressure environment
      • Able to work outside in all weather conditions
      • Have good organizational skills
      • Be highly self-motivated
      • Previous quality assurance experience helpful
