      Quality Assurance Lab Technician

      Job Description

      As a Quality Assurance Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of product quality and safety. You will be responsible for inspecting incoming ingredients and packaging materials, ensuring they meet our stringent product specifications. Your role will involve submitting ingredient samples to approved laboratories for authenticity and pesticide analysis and auditing both blending and production operations for compliance with process and packaging standards.

      Responsibilities

      • Inspect incoming ingredients and packaging materials for conformance to product specifications.
      • Submit ingredient samples from current and new suppliers to approved labs for authenticity and pesticide analysis.
      • Audit blending and production operations for conformance to process and package specifications.
      • Maintain QA record-keeping, filing system, and housekeeping programs in QA areas.
      • Perform microbiological plating functions.
      • Monitor all aspects of production for compliance with HACCP, GMPs, SQF, and SOPs.
      • Verify the calibration and/or calibrate laboratory and operational equipment.

      Essential Skills

      • Bachelors degree in any related scientific field; Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology Preferred.
      • Experience in manufacturing and quality assurance.
      • Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, SQF, and SOPs.
      • Experience in food and beverage production preferred.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Knowledge of good manufacturing processes.
      • Degree preferred but not required.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
