The Quality Assurance Supervisor will be responsible for the activities involved in assuring the food safety and quality of all products produced in a shift, during a six-day per week operation to meet company service, quality, cost, safety and people objectives. Responsible for Food Safety Compliance within the food safety management system Will be informed and aware of their role in monitoring activities for meeting the regulatory requirements for food safety, and are informed of their responsibility to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action You’ll thrive in this position if you are: Service oriented: you’re a people person who is systematic and trustworthy interacting constructively with peers or teams of various levels demonstrating strong, positive communication skills. You lead by example and enable your staff to realize their potential. Responsibilities Here’s more of what you’ll get to do: Supervises the Quality Assurance Lab and Floor Technicians. Is responsible for maintaining an efficient QA lab-QA floor employee schedule that supports company needs Assures presence of specifications and appropriate PQG documentation on the all lines (finishing and baking) Monitors the organization of PQG data collected on all three shifts. Monitors the organization of the retain samples (library) program. Monitors and ensures product traceability Ensures and aids validating on the floor process are being adhered to Ensures adherence to our food safety programs including HACCP Follows up with the PQG certification program to ensure all finished goods meet specifications. Follows up with implemented programs to ensure compliance with GMP’s by all employees and other Aids in the administration of biological monitoring procedures to determine the efficacy of sanitation methods. Monitors employee practices to aid in a pest-free environment. Develops and implements new methods, procedures, and systems to improve quality performance. Supervises operation to comply with all applicable safety laws and regulation, as well as Company safety policies, procedures and standards Maintains a fair and professional work environment that focuses on the business objectives. Develops and maintains training and development programs that support key performance goals for the company, as well as provide a satisfying and rewarding work environment for employees. Develops and maintains a trending performance for the Production plant on Quality/Food Safety/GMPs Support operations to maintain a complaint rating from the regulatory inspections. It acts as an alternate support in absence of Quality Assurance and Food Safety Manager. Qualifications What we require: Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a related field. Must be able to work 6:00 pm - 6:00 am. Basic Technical Writing Skills. Good communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
