      Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

      Job Description

      As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of products by inspecting incoming raw materials, conducting pre-operation inspections, testing equipment, and supervising the cleaning crew. You will be responsible for verifying proper labeling, performing metal detector tests, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

      Pay: $20 - $27/hr (based on experience)

      Shift: 3rd shift: 10:00pm - 6:00am, Monday - Friday

      Responsibilities

      • Inspect incoming raw materials and verify labeling on pallets with lot numbers and expiration dates.
      • Conduct Pre-Op Inspections to ensure food safety before production starts.
      • Perform metal detector testing at the start, during, and end of production runs and document checks.
      • Oversee production changeovers to ensure proper setup at the dough machine and packaging line.
      • Conduct quality inspections of finished products, testing moisture percentage, measurements, and color specifications.
      • Document rejected products and raw material issues to the QA Manager and/or Plant Manager.
      • Assist in investigating customer complaints regarding rejected or non-conforming products.
      • Report unusual discrepancies or problems promptly to management.
      • Perform equipment calibration testing as needed.
      • Supervise the cleaning crew and verify daily plant cleanliness.
      • Fill in for the QA supervisor when necessary.
      • Ensure compliance with the Global Standard for Food Safety.

      This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hingham, Massachusetts.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00/hr.
